For ‘Berlin Studio Conversations’ art historian Stephanie Buhmann conducted interviews with female artists. While their genres, functioning and media are very different, they have one thing in common: they all live and work in Berlin. In search of the contents, which are outside the medial fixation on the art market, Buhmann visited the artists in their studios and gained insights in the intimate space of the artistic practices. Artists presented in this book are, among others, Monica Bonvicini, Angela Bulloch, Katharina Grosse, Alicja Kwade, Tara Mahapatra, and Jorinde Voigt.
