Blod i gruset.
svenska i tidskriften Det Grymma Svärdet sedan 2017. På engelska
föreligger två tidigare böcker samt publiceringar i Granta och The New
I synnerligen
fanzin, medverkat i bl a Det Grymma Svärdet, Galago och Brand.

The next incredible instalment in the library of award winning master
comics creator Philippe Druillet!
Vuzz is a warrior. A looter who has simple needs in life: to fight, to eat
and to make love. Vuzz lives in a world where ruined cities are home to
zombies, giant rabbits, and salacious wizards. A world where everything is
desolation and uncertainties. A world where Vuzz can ultimately only count
on himself. Which suits him just fine...
Featured in stunning black and white, this story is deliberately offbeat
and almost humorous; utilizing a stripped-down narration and minimalist
illustrations. In the works of Philippe Druillet, Vuzz is a character like
no other!
With the publication of R. Crumb's debut issue of Zap in 1968, the
Underground Comix revolution exploded, creating a major paradigm shift and
blowing the lid off the traditional comic book. Maverix and Lunatix
features 101 full page portraits (and more) by a cartooning icon in his own
right, Drew Friedman, spotlighting the essential artists, writers, and
editors who defined one of the great art and countercultural movements of
the 20th century. Featuring R. Crumb, Gilbert Shelton, S. Clay Wilson,
Melinda Gebbie, Art Spiegelman, Vaughn Bode, Trina Robbins, Bill Griffith,
Jay Lynch, Sharon Rudahl, Larry Gonick, Rick Veitch, Joyce Farmer, Justin
Green, Grass Green, George DiCaprio, Diane Noomin, Harvey Pekar, Robert
Williams, Howard Cruse, Dan O'Neill, Spain Rodriguez, Shary Flenniken,
Richard Corben, and so many others... all of whom helped to reinvent an
entire artistic medium and became icons of underground comix.
Featuring a foreword by Marc Maron (WTF with Marc Maron) and an afterword
by historian Patrick Rosenkranz (Rebel Visions: The Underground Comix
Revolution 1963-1975), each portrait in Maverix and Lunatix is also
accompanied by a short biography of its subject by Friedman, making the
book both a gorgeous art book and a valuable historical resource.
With his shrewd eye for mundane absurdities and deeply relatable urban
creatures, Will McPhail is one of Britain's most distinctive cartoonists.
His cartoons delight in the anxieties of everyday life, skewer modern
politics and capture the painful and ridiculous truths behind our
behaviours.
In his first collection, new cartoons are united with old favourites:
knowing mice and eligible pigeons fill our cities, while the beloved
adventures of Lady No-Kids gleefully continue. Pondering life, love and
nonsense, Love & Vermin is a trove of sly wisdom and laughter.

2. verdenskrig.
"When the Showa Era began, Mizuki himself was just a few years old, so his
earliest memories coincide with the earliest events of the Era. With his
trusty narrator Rat Man, Mizuki brings history into the realm of the
personal, making it palatable, and indeed compelling, for young audiences
as well as more mature readers. As he describes the militarization that
leads up to World War II, Mizuki’s stance toward war is thoughtful and
often downright critical – his portrayal of the Nanjing Massacre clearly
paints the incident (a disputed topic within Japan) as an atrocity.
Mizuki’s Showa is a beautifully told history that tracks how
technological developments and the country’s shifting economic stability
had a role in shaping Japan’s foreign policy in the early twentieth
century."
verdenskrig.
"The final, Eisner Award-winning chapter of a legendary cartoonist s
history of Japan. Showa 1953-1989: A History of Japan concludes
award-winning author Shigeru Mizuki's stunning historical and
autobiographical series about Japanese life in the twentieth century. The
final volume picks up in the wake of utter defeat in World War II, covering
the United States shift from enemy to ally. Jobs, money, and opportunity
are funneled along in a bid to establish the country as a bulwark against
Communist expansion. Japan thus reinvents itself, emerging as an economic
powerhouse. Events like the Tokyo Olympiad and the World's Fair reintroduce
the world to a much friendlier Japan, but this period of peace and plenty
conceals a populace still struggling to come to terms with the devastation
of their all-too-recent past. Mizuki's own struggles mirror those of the
nation during this period of recovery and reconciliation. He fights his way
back from poverty, rising to the rank of cartoon celebrity beloved by
millions of manga-reading children. However, prosperity cannot bring the
happiness Mizuki craves, as he struggles to find meaning in the sacrifices
made during the war. This visionary series, told by a true man of his time,
is a magnum opus fully representative of the graphic novel as world
literature."

Artist Joe Roberts has spent more than a decade honing a deeply unique and unapologetically hallucinogenic style of art. Through paintings, drawings and mixed-media works, Roberts navigates a world of cosmic imagery, pop cultural detritus, and shifting geometric forms, bringing to life both the creeping unease and the uncanny humor of the psychedelic experience.
