Fredag 26. august, kl. 1700.

"Brilliant anime director Satoshi Kon (Paprika, Paranoia
Agent, Tokyo Godfathers, Millennium Actress,
Perfect Blue) died tragically young in 2010 at the age of
forty-six. But before he became a director, he was a manga artist, and
Dark Horse is honored to remember Kon with the release of
Satoshi Kon’s OPUS,an omnibus collection of a two-volume manga
from 1996, created by Kon on the eve of his first film. OPUS
contains the mastery of both realism and surrealism that would make
Kon famous in Perfect Blue,as a manga artist planning a shocking
surprise ending to his story gets literally pulled into his
own work - to face for himself what he had planned for his
characters!"
"From the author of the New York Times manga best seller Chi’s Sweet Home comes a delightful series of vignettes in the life of a kitten and her doting owner. To a young kitten, even the most mundane things appear fresh and exciting (and sometimes unpleasant or scary). Join FukuFuku on her journey and rediscover the world from a tiny cat’s point of view."
"During the 1930s, Maud, an artist, discovers she has a psychic gift. The first signs manifest themselves in the royal gardens of the Trianon where gradually she understands that a woman from the beyond is attempting to communicate with her. The revelation is beyond belief: it is the ghost of Marie Antoinette appearing to her to share a terrible secret that has tormented her for centuries. After being guillotined, the Queen is said to have been thrown into a common grave but then exhumed and buried with her husband, Louis XVI, in the Saint-Denis basilica. Yet the ghost tells Maud that her remains are still in the pit, on which a chapel stands today. The queen asks Maud to move her body to the right place so she can finally find peace and no longer haunt people."
"The lore of the early days of hip hop has become the stuff of myth, so what better way to document this fascinating, epic true story than in another great American mythological medium - the comic book? From exciting young talent and self-proclaimed hip hop nerd Ed Piskor, acclaimed for his hacker graphic novel Wizzywig, comes this explosively entertaining, encyclopedic history of the formative years of the music genre that changed global culture."
